Football Number Plates
Personal number plates can be used to symbolise
your hobby or pastime. Barry Fry, manager of "The Posh"
Peterborough Utd FC owns POS 11, whilst Derby
County fan Paul Sisson purchased D3 RBY from
us. Mr Sissons bought the numberplate because it is his birthplace,
but also because: "I'm proud of the city and I'm mad about
Derby County FC."
One Arsenal fan purchased the registration plate AR51
NAL, and another bought AR51 NEL whilst
AFC 1 is owned by Arsenal Football Club themselves.
Doug Ellis, chairman of Aston Villa Football Club owns AV
1, whilst footballer Andy Cole owns C6 LES
and C9 LEY, and Roy Keane owns 111 RK
and J60 ROY.
Mr & Mrs Spalding from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, decided
to take advantage of England's 5-1 win over Germany and purchase
EN51 GER and GB51 GER! Mrs Spalding
said "My husband is a joiner and he was working at a school.
The job needed to be finished before the beginning of term. I
taped the game and he watched it on Sunday night, but it wasn't
the same - the atmosphere wasn't there. We bought the number plates
to make up for the disappointment of missing the live game."
A man from Surrey also purchased WE51 WON (We
Won 5-1) to celebrate the victory.
More of a rugby fan? No problem! Take Don Keyon, for example,
