Although there are millions of personal registations available, and there is bound to be one for you, certain ways of searching tend to be more successful than others.
Our search facility allows you to enter just about anything: names, words etc - but searches on initials often produce both the best results, and the widest selection. Also, bear in mind that three initials works much better than two.
If you run short of ideas, why not try searches based on your occupation, hobbies, birth date, pets, cheeky words or phrases... There are so many possiblilities!
Of course, to get the most out of the results you'll need to know how to read the hidden potential in number plates. Certain numbers may be read as the letters they closely resemble, thus enabling words and names to be seen in real, legal number plates!
- The number "1" may be seen as the letters "I" or "L". Doubled, as in "II", the pair resembles "H" or "U".
- The number "2", either alone, or in the pairing "12" may be read as the letter "R". "2" also works as a "Z"
- "3" works as both "B" and, perhaps surprisingly, as "E"
- "7" serves to represent the letter "T"
