Most car registrations mean something to someone. Even a number plate which may not have any meaning that you can see may well be very significant to its owner: perhaps it represents his initials and birthdate. Other plates carry a more obvious meaning, something that is recognisable to almost everyone - a word or a name perhaps.
Number plates may be bought and sold and transferred from one vehicle to another, so if you wanted to you could offer your own registration for sale!
